What is a vade mecum (German “Vademekum”)?
It is a life companion for all circumstances. No, not I am not talking about a human – it is a book.
This blog is my vade mecum that I want to share with you, because we need each others stories, insights and knowledge.
“Sooner or later everyone invents a story of himself which he comes to accept as his life” (Max Frisch)
Although I love beautiful moments, people and things this blog is about neither of those. Instead I will share with you my love for the quirky, weird and even dark sides of life. It is a passion of mine to find places, people don’t usually go to and write about topics that might be considered a taboo. Still, I am excited to spread positive vibes. So, Vademekum is a colorful mix of all this.
Here you will find inspiration, ideas and impressions. I mostly write about:
And about all you need for the good life, because you don’t have to be a princess to live like one.
About my special blog series for women
I believe that women should support each other and live like sisters rather than rivals. So, I created the category „red tent“, it is inspired by the movie “The red tent” and stands for a cozy, private place where women gather to share their wisdom and love. In this category I write about life as a woman, femininity, period and everything else that strengthens us women. This series will start in March and I will publish a related post at least once month.
Feel at home, leave a comment and share your thoughts with me.
For all the German speakers, you can read my thoughts and stories here in German.
